We are a Town Centre Hotel & Restaurant that dates back to 1794. Over the centuries the hotel has served many a weary traveller, watered their horses and providing them with accommodation on their route. Notable for the hotel, a sword was found buried beneath debris in the old wing. Its origin remains unknown to this day, but an actual replica stands in the Tower of London dating back to 1540. It has been presumed it was used for ceremonial use only.
